Garden share scheme
Whilst our quest to find suitable land for the village allotments continues there may be another way - a garden share scheme! If you have a garden that could do with some attention that you do not have the time/energy/enthusiasm for then perhaps you could consider sharing some of it with a fellow villager? For a share of any produce grown, you could get your garden treated to some tlc for free!

Interested - please contact councillor Melanie Tointon for more information.

Village Festival / Jubilee Celebration
Plans for a village festival in Scothern, to coincide with the Queen's Diamond Jubilee next year, are moving forward. Various possibilities include arts events (music, theatre, art, sports etc) making the most of local talent and celebrating our local community. If you have some ideas to contribute, talent to offer or would like to help out then please do get in touch with the Parish Clerk.

Scothern bus service under threat
Whilst there is no specific threat, in the current climate of cutbacks it is clear that the bus service that Scothern enjoys must be considered to be 'at risk' and therefore all residents are encouraged to make use of the service whenever possible.
"Use it or lose it" should be our mantra!
