Best Kept Garden competition - judging begins!
The judging for this year's Best Kept Garden competition has begun. The judges will be admiring front gardens around the village over the next few weeks and attempting the impossible - selecting winners in a number of categories. Please see the prize list image icon pdf document to see what is up for grabs.

Winners will be announced at the Annual Produce show on Saturday September 11th.

Desert Island Discs comes to Scothern
The Bishop of Lincoln, John Saxbee, will be the guest at an evening of Desert Island Discs to be held in St Germain's Church on Tuesday 7th September. The interviewer and host for the evening, which begins at 7.30pm, is Amanda Thompson.

Tickets, priced at £10, are available from Hazel Hewis (862433), Val Cawsey (862366) or any FRC member. Canapes and wine will be available during the evening.

Best Kept Village competition
The village has progressed to the next round of judging in the competition. Many thanks to all those who have helped make this possible and please keep up the good work by picking up litter, keeping your gardens tidy and letting the PC know about any problems around the village.

Red Barn development
The Environment Agency are continuing to monitor the situation at Red Barn and have asked that any odour issues are reported to them on 0800 80 70 60 Read more on the news page.

The process of creating allottments for the village is now under way and West Lindsey District Council are investigating possible sites. If you are interested in having an allottment, once they are established, please contact Councillor Julie Cook or the Parish Clerk.
