Red Barn development

Moy Park, the owners of the Red Barn development, have said that they are keen to minimise their impact on the local environment and have released a telephone number for residents to report any problems with noise, odour or transport issues - 01526 831590.

The Environment Agency are also monitoring the situation and have asked that any odour issues are also reported to them on 0800 80 70 60.

Residents are advised that lorry movements to and from the site are only to take place between 0700 and 1800, as part of the planning permission. In addition to contacting Moy Park on the above number, residents are asked to keep the Parish Council advised of any issues noted so that we can work with Moy Park to ensure that their operations do not adversely affect our village.

Village speeding survey result
The Lincolnshire Road Safety Partnership have published the results of a series of traffic speed checks in the village that were carried out throughout last year. These results are summarised below:

These figures show the percentage of vehicles exceeding the speed limit (30mph) by any amount.

  • Dunholme Road: Inbound - 87.4% / 83.5% (surveyed twice)
    Outbound - 79.3% / 72.1%
  • Sudbrooke Road: Inbound - 75.5%
    Outbound - 78.0%
  • Langworth Road: Inbound - 66.8%
    Outbound - 68.5%
  • Nettleham Road: Inbound - 48.1%
    Outbound - 52.6%

These results are quite worrying to the Parish Council and we have decided to notify Lincolnshire Police in order to request that they carry out enforcement checks as soon as practical.

Please slow down in our village!
